TIPS FOR SUBMITTING VIDEOS

In order to submit videos for analysis billhallbowling.com would like to offer suggestions so the best service possible can be provided for you the bowler.

  • Use a camcorder if at all possible. In most camcorders there is a backlight setting This setting allows the most light to be drawn into the filming of the videos which produces a clearer video.
  • Use as much lighting as possible along with the backlight setting of the camcorder or video recording device. Various videos that should be submitted to give you the player the most benefit of your Training Online lesson.

  1. From behind the video camera should cover the entire body of the player as shown in this photo

     2. To analyze the release of the player the video camera should be set up to where the middle of the thigh and the feet are shown in the screen of the camera as shown in this photo

For videos submitted for the side shots it is best to incorporate some help. Have someone stand a few lanes to the side and standing at the foul line as show in this photo.

With all side videos make sure that the person that is doing the filming for you pans (follows you all the way from the set up to the foul line) during the filming. Here are some pictures that can give you a good idea as to where in the screen of the camera the player should be as shown in these photos.

Submit side shots from " both sides " of the body.
Make sure that the film shows the entire swing and approach. In total there should be 4 videos for your TRAINING ONLINE lesson. Please be sure to submit 4 videos for your lesson so that Bill Hall and billhallbowling.com can provide you with the best possible lesson, analysis, and information.
